Is made from the Pork Shoulder or Butt of our Pasture-Raised Mangalitsa/Hereford pigs. It tastes like a cross between ham and bacon with less fat. It has a slightly different shape than “regular” bacon and a higher ratio of meat to fat. It is wider than your average bacon and great for sandwiches burgers or by itself for breakfast! Cook just like bacon but be aware it will cook faster and there will be less grease in your pan while frying.  For best results we always recommend your buckboard bacon is thawed before cooking.
